Mason Jars, candles and flowers

My best friend in the entire world, who just also happens to be my maid of honor (crazy, right?), sent me a couple ripped pages from Martha Stewart with cool inspirations for mason jars. Now there is a part of me that feels like mason jars are getting a little played out. But I'm holding stronger to the fact that I like them, mostly because I think they remind me of the south. And I need to hold on to things that remind me of my southern roots because, at least for the time being, I've decided to live and start my married life with the man of my dreams on the other side of the country. I don't think I could have picked a farther location. OK, maybe Bellingham, Washington.

Back to the actual pictures now...I like the way that they mixed up the lighting with floral arrangements in the mason jars. It feels lively and fun, yet natural.

I'm not sure if there is something to pull from this for our reception or rehearsal dinner. But I think it would be cool if we could.

Thanks to soon-to-be-momma, Al, for passing this on. Love you!

Finding Solace and Soul on Edisto Island

Work has been keeping me busy these days, but I was refreshed after reading an article about Edisto, written by Beth Webb Hart, that was passed on to me today.

Joy abounds thinking about getting married in such a special place and starting my life with Jonny.

I'm excited to share Edisto with my family and friends that haven't had the chance to visit yet.

Let the countdown begin!

This is a day old, but Jonny sent it to me and said it was a nice round number. I have to agree. Who's getting excited!?!?!?!

Ace

A good friend of ours sent along this picture because she thought we'd like it, and we do! The image feels very peaceful and the lighting is cool. Plus, we're jealous because we'd like to stay at the Ace one day. We'll have to add that to our bucket list if we ever make one.

Mr & Mrs

Jonny and I are working with a local designer (and friend) to do our thank you cards. She was also responsible for our lovely save the date coasters. We came across some cool cards with "Mr & Mrs" and thought we might do a spin of that on our personalized cards. The ones we liked the most are on Etsy, but here's a sneak peak.

Rustic Campsite Wedding Inspiration

Jonny loves to camp, AND we're getting married, so this couldn't be more perfect. We first saw the image on Pinterest, but that lead us here.

Don't worry folks, our wedding won't be quite so casual, but we do think this couple is awfully cute and had a cool theme for their big day. I also think that if Jonny had the chance to wear a plaid shirt (he has several options to choose from) and a bow tie at our wedding, he'd be a happy man.
